Welcome back to School our new Saturn Class
This term in Saturn Class our topic will include work on: World War 2, LIfe Cycles, Global Biomes, Making Computer Maze games and learning about the Muslim Religion to name a few. Below is an overview of how we will be covering the topic in each of the subject areas. If the children have anything at home relating to the topic, or if they make anything or do any research on the computer, they are invited to bring this in to share with the rest of the class.
Reading is really important for the children to do as often as possible. Mrs McCormack will check reading journals to ensure pupils are reading daily or as near as possible, those children who are regularly not reading at home will be asked to do so at playtime. In school we will learn spellings through Spelling Shed which you can access at home using your current login details. Results will be recorded on the class chart.
Maths Homework may be given via the My Maths website. Can I also remind you of the importance of times tables. Children who do not complete Maths or spelling homework will do so during our 25 Minute Golden Time on Friday afternoons where the children have a free choice of what they want to do.
You will also be receiving in the next week a password for a Learning Platform called Purple Mash which we will be using mainly in class to start so the children can become confident with it.
P.E will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Thank you, for your continuing support. Click on the Learning link below to find out what we will be learning over the course of this term.
