Never been an issue but I am sure that it would be if we ever came across the situation.

Not had an issue with bullying, but I’m sure as a school it would be dealt with efficiently and correctly.

We have thankfully not experienced anything to do with bullying as of now.

Can you tell us about any aspect of the school over the past 12 months which has pleased you and you would like to see us continue with?

  • I enjoy having the opportunity to come into school and have the involvement that we do. I also love the warm welcomes and effort that the teachers make.
  • Love the fact that science is taught at Nursery level and that maths and literacy homework is given on a Friday. Staff and pupils are always very polite. School kept clean and tidy and class displays show how proud you are of your school.
  • Stay and play/opportunities to work alongside my child and teachers to help my child’s development.
  • Sport opportunities.
  • My daughters progress in reading.
  • My child really enjoys all the school trips, especially when he gets the chance to go to summit with his classmates!
  • I love the parent interaction.
  • My child’s teacher has been very understanding and helpful with my child’s behavior. Very helpful and friendly. My child has come on loads with his work.
  • Breakfast/after school clubs, charity events, book day, parents evenings and teachers to parent texts.
  • The Good Work assembly
  • I have nothing but good things to say since my child started. They love the school; she would even come on weekends given the chance. The teacher is great and encourages my child to exceed in her school work.

  • No fence up between the playground and the house.
  • Less favoritism in class
  • A lack of consideration from some learning assistants and supervisors.
  • Homework: Initially received, now stopped. We feel it helps progress. A planner would improve more frequent info and communication.
  • More choice in music lessons and preferably at no cost to parents.
  • Parking on Thomas Street.

  • Forest Schools
  • Good work celebration assembly – This is a brilliant way to encourage children to develop an enthusiastic attitude to school.
  • After school clubs
  • Support for my child and action plans in place to support child whilst in school
  • Variety of school events
  • The issues with parents parking and driving down the street have been and are being death with.
  • Open mornings in class are very informative.
  • Feel the support children receive is fantastic and has ensured they have made excellent progress.
  • Parent sessions for different curriculum areas to get involved in children’s learning. Assemblies focusing on important issues or achievements.
  • Support for children taking part in residential trip.
  • Children encouraged to improve many skills.
  • Completely satisfied with progress child has made. Healthy approach to learning, holding children’s interests without making subject matter mundane or too much to overload young minds.
  • The change in homework from termly to weekly.
  • The atmosphere and approach in the Nursery is lovely; it is great to have the opportunity to come in for Stay and Play. The Nativity was lovely, well done.
  • Thoroughly enjoyed assemblies and seeing what children have learned.
  • School does an incredibly good job.
  • Child has settled into school really well and happy. Teachers communicate well with parents and are very reassuring if a child is upset. Staff are welcoming and always have time to speak.

  • Enjoy regular email updates in Nursery, it is very informative and helps us to carry on things at home.
  • School is so friendly and warm. The children are lovely and polite.
  • Parent sessions are good and allow parents to see what the children are learning.
  • I really think it is the best primary school in the area.
  • I love the work on Growth Mindset and feel my child really benefits from this. The school also promotes excellent social skills and independence.

  • Offer before and after school care
  • Wider variety of after school clubs
  • Teachers in Nursery ensuring they are careful who they release children to (Historic issue)
  • More reading opportunities for parent and child- reading together in school.
  • Bullying issues.
  • Letters sometimes don’t have correct information.
  • Better safety on the roads and pavements outside school. Parking on Thomas Street and not sure if school can do anything about it legally. It is only a matter of time before a child gets hurt- a near miss every day. Know the school regularly mentions the problems in newsletters and signs outside school clearly state this. It is the same parents who are being ignorant every day. Road/ pedestrian safety is a big issue which school to well to try to improve but has little effect.
  • More notice for Stay and Plays so parents able to rearrange working hours.
  • More homework- such as spellings to help  at home.
  • Christmas plays would be better for each year group so that all children can take part.
  • Support for children who are struggling so they don’t miss assembly or playtime such as an after school club.
  • Children could be pushed more in reading.
