Sadly, two of the longstanding governing body members, Brian Marshall and Jeff Coultish passed away in the summer. The governing body are keen to maintain the existing structure to ensure the continued effective running of the school. There are therefore currently three open vacancies on the board. These are co-opted governor vacancies and we are seeking to recruit members with particular skills including financial management, data analysis and HR experience or knowledge. These vacancies will also be advertised in the local community and it may be that you or someone you know is interested. Please pass on the word to grandparents and friends locally. Being a governor offers an excellent opportunity to find out more about the school, meet new people and parents and make a significant contribution to school development. If you are interested in one of the vacancies or would like more information, please speak to Mrs Hughes or the Vice Chair or Governors, Julie Duckett. Full training will be given and interested parties are welcome to come along with no commitment to the next meeting in November to find out more about the role.
